Circle Area Humane Society

Kathy of the Circle Area Humane Society took some time to talk a little about their organization with me. “Our mission is to find homes for animals who have been abused or neglected, animals who are in need of some love.” Kathy explained, “But since our facility is small, we have to limit the number of animals we take in – so we employ a Humane Agent that investigates the calls that we receive. Therefore, our number one priority are the abused and neglected animals from our cruelty cases. Then we focus on helping as many animals as possible.”

Funding?

“Our funding comes solely from donations. We do not receive any financial assistance from the State, County or City.” she responds. There are other ways that people can help outside of just donating money, however.  “Another way to help would be to donate the following: paper towels, laundry detergent, Lysol cleaner, dog and cat beds, dog and cat treats and canned food. People can also volunteer their time, and right now we could use some help on Thursday and Saturday mornings.”

If you would like to get involved or reach out to the Circle Area Humane Society, you can follow them on Facebook, or reach out to them by calling 740-474-8690. You can also stop by and visit them at their location on 185 Island Road Circleville, Ohio 43113.
