Empty Bowls is an event hosted by Orange You Glad Workshop (located inside Keystone Books & Gifts) to help fight hunger in Pickaway County. It is a unique fundraiser that collaborates with local small businesses, ceramists and artist.
Artists can purchase a bowl to paint at the Orange You Glad Workshop and get a second bowl for free to paint and donate towards the upcoming Empty Bowls even happening on March 19th at Gibbys Eatery & Sports Bar.
Gibbys Eatery & Sports Bar is donating their soup and the use of their space to host the event, which 100% of proceeds raised from every bowl of soup sold will go to benefit Walk the Talk Outreach Ministries and their Mobile Food Pantry.

Artist and customers can stop into Gibbys Eatery & Sports Bar all day on March 19th for a bite to eat and customers can make a minimum donation of $10 for a bowl painted by a local artist and for some soup. Customers will get to keep the bowl of their choice, which will serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community and the world – and how you have helped to end hunger in our community.
Sue Gibson of Gibbys Eatery & Sports Bar shared that they will be serving their Chicken Tortilla, House Chili and Tomato Basil soups for the event that day.
Empty Bowls happened last year in March at Gibbys Eatery & Sports Bar, where $500 was raised for Walk the Talk and their Mobile Food Pantry.
