JoyHouse Coffee Shop in Circleville Ohio

Speaking from personal experience and from a burning desire for the hot beverage, coffee can bring joy to someones life. Maybe it’s the caffeine, or the sugar – but most would agree that it is the atmosphere you’re in and the people your around when you purchase a cup.

For Natalee Rogerson, this is exactly what she hopes to bring to the area with her new journey: opening a local coffee shop.

“Coffee is just our tool,” Natalee admitted, when asked about her hope for the coffee shop. She went on to add: “To bring people together. That’s what we want to do there, just have a fun, safe place for people to come and just laugh together. That’s what I want the most, people just to come and hang out and laugh and have fun over a good, good cup of coffee.”

The JoyHouse is going to be more than just a place to get good coffee and to share laughs, it will also be a place for studies, ministry, growth and living life together.

“We want to be used for, of course, ministry and Bible studies. We have had people who want to use it for baby showers… all of that kind of stuff.” she shared.

The business side is important to making sure needs are met and that everything is sailing smoothly, but there is a deeper need that Natalee is hoping the coffee shop will meet.

“This [the coffee shop] is such a God given dream, and we’re doing it all for Him. My main goal is to leave a mark on our community. Just kind of make a stand for Jesus and have a place of like, hope and joy… For everybody. When people come in, I hope they feel the presence of the Lord, and they just want to stay there, whether they know why or not. I want people to feel loved and experience the Lord while they’re there.” she laughed a bit, as I made a remark about “experiencing the Lord through a cup of coffee before agreeing: “Yes, exactly!”

A year from now, Natalee hopes that the JoyHouse will be exactly where God wants it to be.

“We don’t know what tomorrow brings, but I want it to be up and running. I want it to be full-time, because right now we’re just evening hours. So I’d love to be open all day, everyday. Just have the place packed with people.” she stated.

The grand opening will be on April 27th and will be a fun day for all ages to enjoy.

“We are doing a ribbon cutting ceremony, we are having music from Redemption Flood, they’re like a Christian rock band. They’re going to be down there for a couple hours, playing in the evening. We’re going to have of course, coffee and pastries.” she shared about the upcoming event.

The JoyHouse will be opened on April 27th and will be located at:

202 N. Pickaway St
Circleville, OH 43113
