Nourse Circleville is reaching out to the local community, asking for help collecting books for a local, family-owned bookstore that has been in the community for almost three years now – a little store known to many as Keystone Books and Gifts.
Things were looking great for the indie bookstore. Located in the heart of downtown Circleville, it was starting to thrive – but a storm on the last day of Pumpkin Show in 2018 lead to some damage to the stores’ roof, causing leaking problems that ultimately lead to the loss or liquidation of some of their book inventory.
Keystone, however, is not giving up! They are already hard at work to get back and are currently seeking to rebuild their inventory – and Nourse is determined to help them out. Christian Colburn, one of the employees at Nourse, offered to have their lobby be a dropoff point for gently used books.

Nourses’ hope is that they can bring the local community together to help bring Keystone Books back!

UPDATE (August 14, 2019): As of August 13 the bookstore has been asked to move out so the new landlord can work on the roof and other neglected parts of the building. At the time of this update Keystone Books does not have a new location. Read more about closing of current retail location here.
