“Throwing a party for the city” on New Year’s Eve

2019-20 Pumpkin Show Drop Circleville

We stopped by the warehouse of Vineyard Church Circleville to talk with Pastor Ron VanHorn about this year’s “Round Town Night One“.  The GIANT pumpkin that is “dropped” or lowered is made of Styrofoam and is actually quite a bit lighter than the real ones we see each year at the Circleville Pumpkin Show.  It did get a few bumps and scratches, so he said their team will do some touch up to prepare it for the big New Year’s Eve party they’ve thrown since 2017 for the city.  Ron said the first year, which was by the courthouse, was freezing but there were still quite a few that braved the weather.  Last year was the first year in the new Pumpkin Show Park, it was very beautiful, quite warm and the Pumpkin Show Park was packed.

Round Town Night One” runs from 9pm-1am with the “pumpkin drop” starting at ~11:55pm.
