Three years ago, Moonstone Circle opened to the public and started on a journey. Over the next few years, they offered services such as massage therapy but the community had grown to love what they offered in terms of retail, which added to their expansion in a whole new way.
Libby Kight, the owner of Moonstone Circle, has been very open and welcome to all the changes that took place over the years. “By community demands, [we’ve] become more of a retail establishment for wellness products,” she shared, going on to add: “We did not in any way plan for that to be the case, but we fully welcome it.”
Their products include items such as essential oils, incense, smudge, Himalayan Sal Lamps, natural body products, curiosity items, humor items, and crystals. Libby believes they may offer the largest selection of natural crystals in Pickaway County.

Another area Moonstone thrives in is their classes and services, which includes a therapeutic massage that uses some deep tissue and Swedish, which includes applying as much pressure as necessary, and Reiki. They also offer Reiki classes for levels one, two and three. “That is something that makes us unique, and we do tend to get people from all over central Ohio that have come to shop and learn, and receive services with us.” Libby acknowledged.
They’ve grown a lot over the years, but Libby feels there is always room for more growth – which would require a bigger space. “We would love to stay in the area and Circleville, [but] we are limited here at our current location as far as size. We were very thankful for our building and our current location, and we have definitely had to brainstorm to make the space fit our needs. But I think eventually, we are going to need a larger space.”
Another area they plan to expand into is an online presence, as a lot of their customers can come from anywhere in Ohio – especially during Pumpkin Show. Their goal is to offer an online website that customers both near and far can order stuff from.
“Our mission here is to let everyone in central Ohio, or outside of Central Ohio to know that they are welcome here. You do not have to subscribe to any specific set of beliefs to be welcome here to come in, have a seat in our Zen den and just relax and take in the chill vibe that we have going on.” Libby admitted, closing out our conversation.
