Sometimes in our lives we have laughter
Other times we have tears.
Sometimes in our lives we have abundant joy
Often times we’re overwhelmed by fears.

Sometimes in our lives we are challenged
We barely make it through the day.
Sometimes in our lives we’re blessed with talents
That help us to see there is a way.

Sometimes in our lives we have battles
That make life very hard.
Sometimes in our lives we are frazzled
Our struggles leave us scarred.

Sometimes in our lives we have good days
Other days may be bad.
Sometimes in our lives we are extremely happy
We still have days we are sad.

Sometimes in our lives things will happen
That will either make us or break us apart.
Sometimes in our lives we can’t imagine
How we will mend this broken heart.

Sometimes in our lives we’re blessed with friends
We have days we are surrounded by foes.
Sometimes in our lives we need someone that mends
Those times we can’t overcome woes.

Sometimes in our lives we feel we can conquer the world
We have days we can barely get out of bed.
Sometimes in our lives it seems everything comes unfurled
There are days it seems we’re a million steps ahead.

Sometimes in our lives it’s so important
To know that we are not alone.
To know we have others who love and support us
That we don’t have to do this on our own.

Sometimes in our lives we need to learn
To just have a little faith.
To trust in God to see us through
Trusting in His power and His grace.

Sometimes in our lives we can be the one
Who lends a helping hand.
Sometimes in our lives we can uplift and encourage
Be the strength to help someone stand.

Sometimes in our lives when we help out
By uplifting and encouraging others.
We are also helping ourselves
We find purpose when we help one another.

Sometimes in our lives when we bring a smile
Give a hug or just be there.
Sometimes in our lives it’s the simple acts
That show someone how much we care.
