Hampton Inn and Suites at Scioto Downs offers rooms to medical professionals

Hilton and American Express have partnered together to offer rooms for frontline medical professionals during the COVID-19 crisis, where they’re working with about 12 different associations to make this a reality.

Sarah Edge, the Director of Revenue Channels & Digital Analytics at Vista Host was able to share a little about the program with us and how it will be available for frontline medical professionals at the Hampton Inn and Suites connected to Scioto Downs.

“We are definitely offering the rooms at our property,” Sarah shared when asked about the Scioto Downs location.

The program rolled out on Monday so the details are still being updated each day but Sarah was able to explain a bit to us about how the frontline medical professionals would be able to go about booking rooms. A special, specific booking tool that will allow these associations to be able to book rooms. “All of those associations have a specific booking code to book into our hotels with and then when they arrive and check-in, they just show an ID,” she explained.

Vista Host has offered other unique programs that allow their hotels to give back in other ways, such as the program that made it possible for them to make a $400,000 donation to St. Jude’s last year. You can find out more about the different ways their hotels give back by visiting ourhotelsgiveback.com. The frontline medical professional program is still fairly new, so their site has yet to be updated with that information but Sarah disclosed:  “The whole point of the program is to bring hospitality to healthcare heroes and this time of need.”
