We stopped by Scioto Downs today and while there was quite a few vehicles in the parking lot and a line out front, it wasn’t bad inside. The first thing we learned inside was that there were fewer chairs, more games we closed, and they appeared to rearrange some of the games to help compliment social distancing. Drink fountains were open, but you must use a new cup if you want more. Near the cashier area we did notice it was rearranged to better allow proper social distancing. Mask are worn by employees and suggested that guest wear one. We did see some guest wearing mask and some not. If we had to guess it would probably be about 50/50.
In regard to the line out front, we did not have to wait in it and was told they were part of a “lottery”.
We did ask to speak with someone, but they declined to comment and said we were only allowed to take a photo outside.
With the many things that have been shut down over the past few months from COVID-19 entertainment venues like Scioto Downs have been patiently waiting to reopen it doors. For us it is exciting to see more of the economy continue to reopen.
