PICKAWAY COUNTY, OHIO – Five judges participated in a blind taste test featuring 23 pizzas from across the county. Celebrity judges included David Glass (Pickaway Progress Partnership), David Fausnaugh (Pickaway County Library), Arista Hartzler (Pickaway County Park District), Marlee K. Martin (Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce), and Ed Cox (Pickaway County Visitors Bureau Board). The judges were impressed by the variety and quality of the submissions.
“Pickaway county should be proud of their pizza offerings,” said David Glass. “It was certainly a tough decision.”
Winners include:
Best Pepperoni – Pizza Cottage
Best Specialty – Bacon Chicken Ranch, Gibby’s
Judge’s Choice – BBQ Pizza, Pizza Cottage

The people’s choice award will be announced the first week of September. Community members can vote for their choice by picking up a Pizza Passport at The Welcome Center and visiting at least 4 places from the list. Votes for people’s choice will be accepted through August 31st, so be sure to get out and visit our local restaurants for delicious pizza!
