Changes to the Experience
For the protection of visitors, volunteers, and staff and to meet government mandates we have made changes to the Rock Mill experience. Because there is no room to maintain a 6’ space between visitors on stairways and on the milling floor, access to the mill’s interior is limited to the main floor and visitor movement must be directional. People will be asked to follow the floor plan and not wander or backtrack while inside. Based on ODH guidelines and the square footage of the main floor, only 8 people are permitted inside the mill at one time. Groups larger than 8 will be asked to enter at separate times. It is possible to see the massive gears from an exterior doorway. As always, there is no charge for tours; donations are appreciated.
Masks are Required
No one will be allowed to enter the building without a mask. A mask covering both mouth and nose must always be worn while inside the building. If you cannot or will not wear a mask, please enjoy Rock Mill Covered Bridge, the park, and Rock Mill from outside or choose to visit when there is no public emergency alert in Fairfield County.
For the safety of all, please wear your mask even if outside when standing in line with others not in your group. Of course, when outside in the park and not in close proximity to other guests, a mask is not required.

Days and Times May Vary
Additional dates and times may be added. Due to the limited indoor capacity of the mill, at this time openings are weather dependent. The mill may close if our county alert level goes up or if it becomes impossible to provide allowances for recommended social distancing guidelines for our visitors, volunteers, or staff.
The plan is to open the mill on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Sundays 1:00-4:00 p.m., and Wednesdays 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Again, these days and times may change due to weather conditions.
