Christmas season
is a time to lift our hands towards the heavens
and bow our knees,
celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus,
keeping the real meaning of Christmas
close to our hearts.
As we remember God’s gift of salvation,
we can brighten up the darkness
lingering in each corner of the world
by showing kindness to our neighbors,
giving to one another
like the three wise men
who brought gifts to baby lying in the manager.
The symbols we use to decorating our homes
remind us of his glory,
for a wreath is God’s circle of everlasting love
an angel guides us along life’s journey
while the evergreen tree gives us hope
for mankind to come together as one
across the globe.
We can rejoice with our hearts intertwined
as we turn on Christmas lights,
lightening up the pathway for Jesus
like that starry night in Bethlehem
on the day he was born.
