Catching Christmas by Terri Blackstock - Book Review

Sydney Batson is a first-year law associate worried that if she loses this first big case that she has been assigned she will be looking for another job. When her grandmother becomes ill while she is in court, Sydney hires a cab driver to take her to her doctor’s appointment.

Miss Callie reminds Finn Parrish of his own grandmother. Sweet, kind, and full of spunk; it is evident Miss Callie is showing signs of dementia. Even though it takes away from his other cab fares, Finn cannot seem to tell her no. He does his best to help Miss Callie when she calls specifically requesting Finn as her driver even if she can’t remember if she has paid him or not. Of course, Finn could use the money to pay his rent and other bills, he can’t be angry with sweet Miss Callie. Instead, he directs his anger towards the granddaughter he has yet to meet.

Miss Callie is focused on one thing and one thing only, finding a Christmas date for her granddaughter. She knows Sydney has a busy schedule and needs help finding that special someone. She takes Finn all over the city searching for the perfect date for Sydney. Catching Christmas is a sweet read for the holiday season. Miss Callie is a delightful character that you will enjoy getting to know and love. She will make you smile, shake your head in disbelief, and laugh. It has the makings of a Hallmark movie. Enjoy! Merry Christmas!
