The “Birthday Suit”

On her birthday several years ago, after our daughter Kaitlyn woke up, her dad asked her if she was going to wear her birthday suit today. Her sister Lyndsay said, “It doesn’t fit Kaitlyn anymore, it only fits me now.” At that point Kaitlyn walked in our room and asked me where her “Birthday Suit” was. I told her she’d have to go in her room, close the door, and take off all her clothes then she’d find her “Birthday Suit”. Of course, she had her typical “MOM” response with a smirk on her face.

To add to the humor, Lyndsay later stated that since Kaitlyn’s Birthday Suit doesn’t fit her anymore, she could wear Lyndsay’s. The funny logic in that is a little unusual since Lyndsay is a younger and smaller than Kaitlyn.
