CASCADIA, is a fast-paced tile laying, ecosystem building in the Pacific Northwest for 1 to 4 players. This beautiful game has 85 habitat tiles of 6 different terrain types from the Mountains down to the rivers and marsh. It also includes 100 wildlife tokes representing 6 different animal types from THE BEARS, down to the salmon.
Each turn, a player will get to select a terrain tile and an animal token each turn to place into your habitat. You will have 20 turns total. Whoever builds the best habitat and placed their animals in the best positions will score the most points and win the game. Can you build the longest river? Biggest Mountain Range? And, at the same time, make sure you have places to put your bears in the correct pattern. Did you find ranges to get your hawks placed correctly? And those pesky salmon, did you create a great river for them to spawn?

The double puzzle aspect of building great animal habitat corridors with the tiles and then getting the correct animals into the right patterns into the terrain is a brain burner. The simplicity of the game’s mechanics make this game a great one. The game includes multiple scoring cards for each animal and by mixing them up no game may ever be the same. A solo system is included, as is a more family friendly less puzzling system for ones looking to lessen the puzzle aspect of the game but still having great fun tile laying and placing those animals into the system you created.
CASCADIA is a fun and beautiful addition to anyone’s game shelf.
