Billowing rain clouds linger
as she sits outside on the patio
listening to music,
hoping for the sun to shine.
The wind blows in negativity
when she sees a storm brew nearby,
fearing the worse
she retreats inside for safety.
The thunder rolls,
the wind picks up,
the electricity goes out,
but just then an odd thing happens,
the sun comes peering out.
Her wish comes true,
showing her this world
is full of surprises,
nothing is like it seems.
