Sue Lumley opened up about Pickaway County Sportsmen, Inc. and some of the awesome things that they are offering for Pickaway County. The Pickaway County Sportsmen, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging a safe and enjoyable shooting environment through the education of its members and the community. They support individuals and organizations in their efforts to conserve our natural resources for future generations.
“We have monthly target shooting events that are open to the public. We have several free youth events from April to September.” Sue went on to explain that they have at least two free target shooting educational classes for women as well. Their organization is looking to accomplish educating both youth and adults on gun safety with organized target shooting events. The Pickaway County Sportsmen, Inc. is also working towards setting up some Wildlife Conservation Areas in the county.
As for funding, most of their funds comes from Memberships and ODNR Grants. There are other ways you can make a difference, however. Public participation during our open events is more than welcomed.
