The Dimple Times, which was originally called the Pickaway County Fun Pages, was created as a means to provide positive news, fun, information and inspiration to the local community. We wanted puzzles, games, comics and plenty of fun for any age. The Dimple Times is a division of E-Quiver, Inc. and was originally created by Keystone Books and Gifts, also a division of E-Quiver, Inc. In 2019 the bookstore closed, but the Dimple Times continued to expand.
Condensed History
A few years ago we had started a publication called the “Roundabout”. It was published on normal paper and designed to be something that you would pick up and read while you were sitting at a coffee shop or another place that you may be waiting. After testing several times, we sat on the idea until late 2017. It was at this time we had created a couple of “funny pages” for another local publication and wanted to expand and start creating our own, new publication that would be filled with games, puzzles, stories, poems, book reviews and other positive fun. While we knew that people still liked to read the news, including bad parts, we wanted to do something that could help people relax. Maybe unplug. The goal was to create something exciting that not only was “fun” itself, but helped share other fun things happening in the community.
Original Focus on Pickaway County that Expanded
In the beginning, we were focused only on Pickaway County, but quickly started to learn that surrounding areas loved our publication just as much. In January 2019 we started distributing the Dimple Times in Pickaway, Fairfield, Ross and Franklin Counties. Then in December 2019 we expanded to Fayette County.
Once to twice
When we first started, we never imagined that people would love doing our puzzles and reading our unique articles as much as they did. So in January 2020 we made the decision to publish the Dimple Times twice a month.
Weekly
In July 2022 we made the move to be a weekly publication. Weekly fun for fans of all ages!
