A good stop for some delicious Mexican food can be found right on 23 in Circleville, Ohio. El Palomar offers a variety of Mexican style dishes – with options for everyone.
Before you even order, your waiter starts you off with a complimentary bowl of chips and salsa. The chips are served fresh and hot, pairing well with the sweet, restaurant style salsa.
When we were ready to order, we settled for the Burrito Mexicano off of their Burritos menu, and the Enchilada lunch special off of their lunch menu.
The Burrito Mexicano was a hot dish, consisting of a side of beans and rice, with the main course being a chicken burrito covered in cheese dip, lettuce and having tomatoes and guacamole.
The Burrito Mexicano is an extremely filling dish, but with it being so fresh and perfectly done, you can hardly put your fork down.
The Enchilada Lunch Special is a smaller portion of what can be ordered off their regular menu, but it was still a hefty, filling lunch. With a side of rice, beans lettuce and sour cream – this Enchilada had a great taste, even when all on its own.
Our waiter was friendly, helpful and quick to refill our drinks and check on us throughout the meal.
Sitting in the comfy booths, you are able to take in the beautiful Mexican décor in the soft, dim lights really just enhances the entire experience.
