Sometimes as parents we have those days when we are so tired, and we try to do things that do not add extra work because our plate is already full. This is my story of one of those days. I was making lunch and I told the kids that I was only making one thing, they could take it or leave it. I was preparing myself for the moaning and groaning because I figured they were not going to like my choice. Wanting to make something I craved, I decided to make Tuna Salad Sandwiches and I sliced up dill pickles to add to it. I had the sandwiches prepared and handed them out to the kids. Isaac (when he was four years old) looked at the sandwich and said “Ahh mom I don’t like pickles on my petunia sandwiches.” Isn’t it funny how kids interpret what we are saying? What they perceive sounds so cute when they say it like they hear it.
