Extreme Creamery offers the traditional makings of an ice cream shop, with scoopable ice cream and regular milkshakes crossing a variety of flavors. They even offer rolled ice cream, which can be fun to watch them prepare and equally as delicious as your traditional ice cream.
So, what makes this place so extreme, you might ask? To make your experience epic as can be, Extreme Creamery offers a special variety of shakes that they call “Extreme Shakes.” It is the Super Shaggy Sandwich of milkshakes – layered with levels of any sweet, sugary desserts imaginable… from Oreo lover’s dream to the peanut butter fanatics fantasy, these are shakes that are going to send you on an intense sugar buzz.
My experience with trying my Extreme Shake definitely resulted in a definite sugar buzz… but oh my, was it ever delicious! I ordered their Strawberry Cheesecake extreme shake, which takes your traditional strawberry cheesecake ice cream made into a milkshake, poured into a cup with drizzled strawberry syrup before they began layering the masterpiece. An actual piece of cheesecake is laid on top of the milkshake lid, surrounded by a bed of whipped cream and accented with strawberry syrup, two cinnamon sticks, and a strawberry.

This shake is not for the faint of heart. There is a reason that it is considered extreme – the amount of calories in one shake alone is probably more than one’s daily intake – but that’s what makes it a great treat. The experience alone is fun, especially with friends or family to witness. Posting an image of your shake on social media gets a hilarious reaction from friends and declaring that you’ve finished such a crazy treat is fun to brag about.
I, for one, could see myself going back to have one again. There is a perfect amount of flavor throughout the entire shake, to the point that it is bursting on your taste buds. The staff is friendly and the spot is clearly a popular destination, buzzing with activity.
