When our kids were younger we were all in the van, on a Sunday morning, getting ready to leave for church. We had been talking about how pretty the trees looked with all the different colors of leaves. It had been extra windy the past couple of days. As we were getting ready to leave the house the leaves started falling off the trees. Lyndsay, our youngest, said “look mom it’s tree snowing.” I remember thinking what an adorably Poetic way to describe leaves falling off of trees.
Sometimes I think it would be great to view things with child like perception and innocence! They see the beauty of nature and find joy in the simple things. If we could live life through the eyes of a child life would probably not be as stressful, and we certainly would take a little time to do nonsense things that force us to relax a bit.
