My mother-in-law had called to see how we were all feeling because we had been sick with a stomach virus. I told her I was trying to figure out where we could have picked up the virus. After hearing our conversation, my eight-year-old told me he knew where he caught the virus. I was surprised and asked him where, to which he replied: “it must have been the internet.” Naturally I was quite amused. I knew he had heard his dad make remarks about how his computer picked up another virus from the internet, and how upset he gets when it happens. My son made the statement that he was using the computer recently, and he must have picked up the virus then. He was so serious, and he took it literally that he must have caught the virus from the internet when he was using the computer.
