a magical beauty to behold
with arms touching a gloomy sky,
you stand barren.
Dormant behind bark
in the harsh elements of Winter
nothing can deter your loving embrace.
Like a mother
providing for her young,
you give safe harbor
from icy blankets of snow
to tiny creatures when temperatures plunge.
