While Circleville is home of the Pumpkin Show that includes a long history of growing HUGE pumpkins, without a doubt they’ve got a ways to go to compete with some of the monster pumpkins that are being grown abroad. Not just in the United States but as mentioned in our Pumpkin Show edition of the Dimple Times, as of a few weeks ago the world record pumpkin was in Germany with a pumpkin that weighed 2,624.6. It was grown Mathias Willemijns of Belgium.
In comes 2021 and Stefano Cutrupi of Pontedera, Italy with a record-breaking MONSTER pumpkin weighing in at 2703 pounds (1,226kg)! “I am very happy,” he remarked after winning the title on September 26.
