4 essential rules of camping

Camping is a great way to spend time with friends or family without the distraction of technology. It allows you to disconnect from social media, TV, and your phone for a while. But sometimes, it can be hard to figure out how to make the most out of your camping trip. There are many types of campers – some who want their tent to feel like a home away from home, others who prefer more rustic accommodations, and everything in between. The four essential rules below will help ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience!

#1 Always put your fire out when you’re done

The first rule of camping is always extinguishing your fire when you’re done. It’s the essential part of staying safe and leaving no trace! Make sure to put out your campfire completely before going to bed, even if it means sleeping in a little later than usual.

Don’t just smother with dirt or sand – that can actually cause embers to burn beneath the surface and lead to more intense burning later on. Instead, scrape away all unburned fuel, such as logs and coals. Also, be sure to pour water over everything until there is nothing but cool ashes left behind. If you follow these steps, then everyone will be able to enjoy another fun-filled day at their favorite campsite safely. Just make sure not to overdo it on the s’mores!

#2 Never stray from a path

The second rule of camping is never deviating from a path. This ensures that you will leave as minimal impact on the environment as possible and allows for other campers to enjoy your campsite just as much as you have.

Try to stick to existing trails if they exist. If there are no established paths, then try digging out a tent platform where it’s flat enough for everyone to sleep comfortably without rocks poking through their sleeping bags. In between those two extremes, finding somewhere with soft pine needles can be ideal – just make sure not to wander off into the woods! An excellent way to keep track of this is by tying brightly colored cloth onto tree branches every few feet so that people don’t get lost or separated

#3 Don’t drink just any water

The third rule of camping is always knowing where your water comes from. If you are using a portable filter, then that’s great! Just make sure to bring plenty because they can be cumbersome. The best thing to do is just fill up containers with fresh running water – it may not look very enticing, but once you’re dehydrated and ready for some refreshment, the taste will more than please your palate. It may also help to keep an eye out for animals so that if something does go wrong, it won’t cause much damage (though this rarely happens)

#4 Always have a first aid kit with you

The final and fourth rule of camping is always to pack a first aid kit. To keep everything safe in one place, consider getting yourself an outdoor backpack from EcoGear FX which will work wonders! It would also be highly advisable to pack plenty of sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer, bandages, gauze pads – anything that would be beneficial in case someone gets injured while you’re away from civilization.

A few other things may help, too, such as painkillers or an EpiPen if needed, but it’s not essential since most injuries are minor scrapes or burns, which can easily be treated with the items listed above. These rules will ensure everyone enjoys themselves, whether they want to rough it out in nature or stay close to home! If anyone tries any new tricks on their own this summer, then let us know how they go in the comments below!
