Time travels like a speeding bullet
blending days into months,
months into years.
Our feet stumble
taking us back a few steps
but before long, a lifetime has passed.
We watch our circle of friends
disappear one by one,
as we sit behind closed doors
waiting for fate.
Those moments between sunrise and sunset
seem to blink,
before the hands on the clock
even have a chance to move.
