His face shines
beneath a circle of white
looking so dreary
with somber eyes and the corner of his mouth turned down.
I wonder, does he know
how we look forward to his shining light
to brighten up our path
keeping us out of the darkness?
I wonder, if he�s lonely
as he shines his brilliant light
without ever touching the ground?
or is he sad
because he sees everything
but he cannot reach out a helping hand.
