On a murky night,
our eyes perceive a full moon
hiding behind the clouds,
deceiving us with a false truth.
For the full phase of the moon
shined with beauty the evening before,
yet the naked eye perceives
it to be the same.
By the same token,
we are in total deception
losing our way,
no longer willing to take a leap of faith
believing tomorrow will be a better day.
We are stuck in a doomsday mode,
robbing ourselves of a chance
to make cherished memories,
while we stand idly on the sidelines
waiting for a brighter tomorrow
to magically appear.
