It’s Christmas and you need that last one gift to finish off the stockings hung for the holiday.

Here are five great games that are family friendly and make wonderful stocking stuffers.

THE GAME, Quick & Easy. ($12)

This game takes 15 minutes to play, and is for 2 to 5 players. A simple game but frustrating and it is a cooperative card game, so we all win, or we all lose. After 15 minutes of fun, we reshuffle and play again! Each player is dealt two cards and on their turn you play one or both of them. There are two stacks to play on. One you must play a higher number than the one showing the other a lower number than what is showing. The object is to play all the cards in the deck. Cooperation is the key, working together to get all the cards played, great lessons for the holidays.

DEEP SEA ADVENTURE ($15)

This game plays with 2 to 6 gamers and takes about 30 minutes to play. A little game that fits quite easily into a stocking but big on the fun. You are a group of divers out looking for treasure beneath the oceans. We of course are sharing the same boat and more important sharing the same air. As we dive you use air in proportion the amount of treasure you are carrying. So more the treasures your friend is carrying, the more air they use and the less YOU have. We have rented the boat for 3 trips down below the sea. Who can get the most treasure up on those trips! get fun and one should always remember the story and the turtle and the rabbit and who won the race!

HARVEST DICE ($15)

This a roll and write game about growing your garden. This game is for 2 to 4 players and is takes about 30 minutes of gardening time. On your turn you roll the dice and then determine which veggies to grow or feed to the pigs by filling (writing) in spaces on your score sheet. The better choices you make the better your garden grows.

DE STIJL ($10)

This game is for 2 to 5 artists and is about painting a unique masterpiece in about 30 minutes. On your turn you will select a paint pattern card and add it to the growing masterpiece. Scoring at the end of the game the players score the number of their brushstrokes of their color in the painting and their largest area, the artist that “painted” the best is the new Art Master!

LOVE LETTER ($10)

Love is in the air! Will you be the last noble left to court the Princess! For 2 to 4 romantics, it takes only 15 minutes to find out if you are worthy of the hand of the Princess. There are only 16 cards in the game and the player with the card with the highest number left at the end wins the game! Everyone starts the game with one card and on their turn draws a single card and plays now one of the two cards they have following the instructions on the card. There are numerous versions of the game dealing with all sorts of subjects, you need not court the Princess – but this is the original version and for all of them the play is similar.
