If you’re in the mood for some great tacos or Mexican food… you’ve certainly got plenty of choices in Circleville. One location that is still fairly new to the area happens to be Taco John’s, located inside of Love’s Travel Stop on 23.
Taco John’s menu offers everything from mouthwatering street tacos, specialty tacos, burrito bowls, burritos breakfast, nachos, and even a little something sweet with their desserts.
As a big fan of burrito bowls, we decided to give their Boss Bowl a shot – which consisted of juicy sirloin steak served alongside their roasted corn and pepper salsa and was complemented with a generous amount of toppings like cheese, sour cream, lettuce, black beans and their rice flavored with cilantro-lime.

You have the ideal mix with their Boss Bowl, but you mainly notice a sweetness that comes from the corn in their salsa. The texture is the right amount of crispness from the veggies, complimented by the tenderness of the steak.
The Boss Bowl can come with a side of their Potato Oles. Personally, it seemed like an unusual side at first – most would anticipate something along the lines of nachos with sauce. However, the medley of spices Taco John’s adds to their popular Potato Oles and the perfect, crispy texture is what makes this side so great. It could come with your choice of sauce… guacamole, salsa, sour cream, nacho cheese. My only question is… why bother when the Potato Oles are delicious as is?
