Fairfield County’s best-kept secret may be found in a little town known as Amanda, Ohio � and it is known as the Amanda Furniture, Antique, Craft Mall and Auction House.
Filled with unique crafts, beautiful antiques and a variety of treasures hidden throughout the whole building.
Ernie Weaver, the owner of the Amanda Furniture, Antique, Craft Mall and Auction House, was able to share a little bit about the business: �We’re just unique and different, we have to be unique and different to be out here. You’ll never know what you’ll find here.�
The building that they’re currently set up in was once a furniture store and always has been since the ’50s, but what drew them to this building, you might ask? Well, their original plan was to find a building for an auction house � and the rest fell into place!
�I was looking for an auction house, this building happened to be for sale and I purchased it. I know my wife and daughter always traveled a little bit to go to those antique and crafts malls, and it was such a big building that I didn’t know what to do with all of it � so my wife and daughter said: ‘Hey, why don’t you keep the furniture and have an antique and craft mall?’ That’s where it started.� Ernie explained about the stores’ history � of which they’ve been opened for eight years now.
The biggest thing they want you to know is that you should come, visit them and see what they have to offer.
�We’re just a little different from the rest. You’ll never know what you’ll find here, and it changes frequently,� he spoke in regard to the vendors and what they have to offer, which is always changing on a regular base.
