WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio (DimpleTimes) – We ate at the Ranchers Roast Beef restaurant located in Washington Court House. Anyone who truly knows me knows that if there is BLT on the menu that is what I will choose over most everything else. I had their Ultimate BLT� with fries on the side. I must say this is by far the best BLT sandwich I have ever tasted. It is served on Texas toast that had an amazing butter flavor, lettuce, tomato, and mayo; but I am convinced the half pound of bacon is what made this sandwich the best BLT I have ever had (and I consider myself a pretty good judge of a BLT since I have had so many). The employee who came to ask if we were enjoying our meal said that their normal (not the Ultimate) BLT is on sale every Tuesday, just in case you ever want less than half a pound of bacon.
We also had the Beast sandwich but when they called back the order to be made the person taking our order called it “The Beastie Boy”.
This sandwich also comes with a half-pound of roast beef, and we ordered the potato cakes for the side. We each tried one of the potato cakes and some of the fries and those were hot, fresh and very good; but the sandwiches were -OH MY- by far the best part of the whole meal.
I am normally one to at least let someone try a piece of my sandwich, but they thought it was funny that I was not about to share a bite of my Ultimate BLT- it was just that good! The only thing that made this meal even more special, besides the fact that it was Valentine’s Day, was how much the staff connected with the diners. They made you feel almost like you were an old friend. They knew and greeted quite a few people by name when they entered the restaurant. I always like when someone seems genuinely happy to see me and that is part of their appeal.
